Berkeley Choro Ensemble and Kiko Lazzarotto, November 3rd Home Concert in Berkeley
On Sunday, November 3rd at 4 pm, Berkeley Choro Ensemble performs a home concert with a special guest. Kiko Lazzarotto,cavaquinho, from Rio de Janeiro lived in the SF Bay Area in 2016 where he was a frequent guest of Berkeley Choro Ensemble and other local Brazilian music groups.
Kiko was very active in the choro scene in Rio for many years when he lived there. Currently, he is living in Paris with his family.
This concert will feature some great classics of the choro genre, as well as some newer works by Brazilian composers. Please join us for a celebration of Kiko and his family's visit, and a great afternoon of wine and food!
With Jane Lenoir, flute, Harvey Wainapel, clarinet, Ricardo Peixoto, 7-string guitar and Brian Rice, pandeiro.
