Chris Otis Cross - Guitar/Vocals
Chris is the voice of the Hurricanes. His friends named him Otis at the age of 12 when he picked up a Fender Telecaster and bent his first blues note. Chris was an original member of the legendary Blue in the Face band. He was on the road with Debbie Davies, and plays an important role in the Fairfield music scene, opening and playing with musical icons like James Montgomery, Mark Naftalin, Buddy Guy, Johnny Winter and Buckwheat Zydeco. Otis left his soulful mark on the music scene from Toronto to Atlanta.
Richard Crooks - Drums/Percussion
Richard is a long-time studio drummer and wizard of the live beat. Youve heard him on albums with Bob Dylan, Dr. John, Leon Russell, etc, etc.
Smokin Joe Najmy - Piano/Vocals
Smokin Joe developed his style as a songwriter/musician in the Berkshires and on the road performing or in concert with artists like Taj Mahal, Arlo Guthrie, Paul Butterfield, Average White Band, and Robert Cray.
Chris Bishop; Bass/Vocals
Chris is a brilliant musician steeped in the Woodstock musical tradition. Chris was the bassist for James Montgomery Band and Robert Palmer. He has performed all over the world and spent many years as a studio musician in NYC.
Crispin Cieo - Saxophones
Crispin is a founding member or the Uptown Horns. His distinctive sound can be heard on recordings by James Brown, Joe Cocker, Wilson Pickett, as well as the Rolling Stones Steel Wheels Tour.
Doug Bernstein - Saxophones
Doug is a regular contributor to the Hurricanes sound. For many years, Doug been a bandleader and arranger in the Nashville scene and national touring acts He spent several years as Musical Director for Sam Moore of Sam and Dave.
