Cradling the Souls
Collegium Ancora opens their 4th season with a concert featuring Maurice Durufles sublime Requiem. A masterwork of the 20th century choral repertoire, the Requiem will be accompanied by organ and chamber orchestra, including harp. Also on the concert is the premier of Requiem from Mass for the Unarmed Child, commissioned by Collegium from Michael Bussewitz-Quarm and Adrian Dunn. Featuring choir, piano, and rap soloist, this powerful piece decries the gun violence that has led to the death of innocent children in our country. Please join us for a powerful evening of beautiful and moving music.
