Rope Class - Igniting Desire
Igniting Desire: How to connect to a partner using tension and rope
Using rope in the bedroom can be incredibly effective at riling your partner up, and its not difficult to implement. Learn how to tease and delight your partner like a master Shibari practitioner. Using body mechanics and psychology, you will titillate the senses.
This class will give you the secrets of what makes rope bondage so alluring and sensational. It will also give you the basic fundamentals for tying your partner, either using The Quick Tie or a more conventional and secure cuff. Upon completion, you will have the tools you need to spark desire, at your own discretion.
This class is best taken with a partner or friend, but singles are welcome and can choose to pair with other solo attendees. (All pairings will be consensual and based on mutual desire)
***This Event was SOLD OUT last time! We recommend you get your tickets soon!***
Bio: About the Instructor, Averie: Hello all! I am delight to have found Tantra and such a wonderful community to practice with. I am further delighted to share my knowledge of Shibari with those who are so dedicated to authenticity, connection, and play! I have been part of the rope community for four years. Although I spent most of this time tying, I have had invaluable experience of being tied as well. In this time, I have gotten the chance to learn from some of the best rope artists in the world through conventions, intensives, and classes across the US. I have gotten to share rope through teaching, performances, and showing it as an installation art form. Learning to tie has had the most surprising and profound impact on my personhood - as by nature I am more submissive. Moreover, it is an incredibly useful skill for turning on seemingly anyone. (This may be an exaggeration, but thats why I said seemingly). Why is it so effective? Come to the class, and you will find out!
Please, NOTE:
- There will be no nudity or explicit sexual touch in this workshop. All genders, orientations, abilities and humans 21+ are welcome. Please contact us with questions at info@sacred-embodiment.org
- FINDING US: The new SEC space is on Capitol Hill, on 19th Ave East between E. Roy and E. Mercer Streets. The official address is 1818 E. Mercer Street, but there is no building marked with that address and the building itself is not really visible from Mercer. So your best bet is to navigate to the Monsoon Restaurant, whose address is 615 19th AVE E. Facing Monsoon, go up the stairway on the south side (between Monsoon and Zeeks Pizza). At the top of the stairs is the Mercer Professional Building. Take a Left and walk about 20 feet South, then turn Right and walk to the end of the planter box on your right. Our entrance is the grey door.
- PARKING: Arrive with enough time to find a space. Parking is available on 19th or on the side streets. There is untimed parking a block North on 19th between Aloha and Roy. There is also untimed parking to the East on 20th Ave. There is also a disabled parking spot in the alley between 18th & 19th.
- PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: Use the Monsoon restaurant address of 615 19th Ave E.
- ACCESSIBILITY: The accessible entrance, including an electronic lift, is located off Mercer in the alley between 18th & 19th on the north side of the street. From the corner of Mercer & 19th, you have to go up a hill past the Shea Apartments to the alley. Please contact a facilitator or community member if you need assistance on the street or the lift. The accessible door is the glass door in front of you just off the lift. It is locked after 5pm and on weekends, so please let a facilitation know you'll be using that door and to keep it open for you. Our space is one level and there is various seating to accommodate all bodies, as well as accessible facilities. If you are concerned about your accessibility needs, please contact the specific event host or email us at info@sacred-embodiment.org. We will do our best to respond within 24 hours.
- PRIVACY: We have a privacy and confidentiality policy for our community which you will be asked to sign when you attend your first event. Basically, we agree not to share your information and we ask you not to share others information.
- VENUE: please, be aware our location is smoke free and shoe free.
- SUBSTANCES: SEC intends to cultivate conscious living, conscious loving and freedom. Intrinsic in the work of increasing our consciousness is a keen noticing of our bodies and of those around us. This deep listening doesn't mix well with alcohol or other substances, so please don't consume those that would hinder your natural state before attending or at events.
- SCENTS: Please, be mindful when wearing colognes, perfumes, essential oils or other scented or chemical products to our events. Some people are extremely sensitive. We are not currently a scent-free space, however we do our best to be scent sensitive.
