One Woman Hamlet Fundraiser
One Woman Hamlet is a glimpse into the mind of Kate, the shows creator, which has been written over three and a half years, supervised by mental health professionals, and from the heart of a creative who has dealt with mental health struggles her whole life. Watch Hamlet come to life anew and break the stigma surrounding mental health, with the use of loop stations, puppets, projections, music, and audience interaction (with the option to wear a safety token should you wish not to participate), and of course, fun. Together, we can realize that Its O.K Not To Be O.K.
One Woman Hamlet is presented with Hope For The Day, an organization that achieves suicide prevention through mental health education and outreach, to present One Woman Hamlet in schools in Chicago and the surrounding area. Before the school tour there will be six free performances for the community, each taking place in a different Chicago zip code during spring 2020. The hope is to educate teenagers and those in their community that it is O.K. not to be O.K. Your funds would go towards the creation of the show for both the six free performances and the tour with Hope For The Day.
