"Top Hats and Boas: A Broadway Cabaret"
Direct from their recent show at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre in New York City, John Baldino and Erin Canedy return to their home town of Carbondale where they will lead their ensemble in "Top Hats and Boas: A Broadway Cabaret." John & Erin Cabaret Productions will present this family-friendly crowd pleaser at the Corner Bistro in downtown Carbondale on Sunday, August 25 at 6 p.m.
"It's a unique approach to showcasing some of the amazing music of American musical theater," says Baldino, Managing Director and Executive Producer. "We're featuring quite a few Broadway hits and old favorites with some off-Broadway and more obscure pieces mixed in."
Baldino and Canedy will lead a cast of Jonathan Alunni and Colleen Reynolds with musical direction by Jillian Rojeck. The cabaret will contain scenes in coffee shops, cabaret clubs and on Broadway stages with inspiring music that will leave the audience smiling and maybe even singing along.
"Toe-tapping is highly encouraged," remarks Canedy, Artistic Director and Producer. "We want everyone to enjoy what we share with them on stage while we celebrate another performance in our home town."
