Community Banks, Credit Unions, CDFIs
Join us for a locally sourced happy hour, and delve into how established financial institutions that are rooted in the community can facilitate the shift of local capital toward our local economy. While significant barriers exist, many local banks and credit unions are finding creative ways to partner with the community to invest locally. You will hear from some of them on this panel.
This event is part of the Community Capital: Seattle series, which also explores cooperatives; local investment clubs; creative community loan models, crowdfunding, CSAs, and pre-sales; and direct public stock offerings as ways to move money into our local economy.
Thanks to our series sponsors: Bainbridge Graduate Institute, BECU, Central Co-op and many generous in-kind and community sponsors.
