How do you turn pages of journal and diary entries into something self-contained? How can journals enlighten and inspire other creative projects and output? In this workshop, we'll explore using journals as a tool for creative work. We'll discuss the importance of revisiting journals and reading them with a discriminating eye, seeking patterns and themes that may serve as seeds to other artistic adventures. Finally, we'll look at different journaling approaches and how they produce a variety of outcomes. Attendees should bring their own written journals for this class, though they wont be expected to share the contents!
