In this two hour class, we'll take a deep dive into bones of your novel and how building your opening hook sets up the structure of your entire story.
We'll observe the method in action with clips from award-winning films, and lay out a tool you can use to design a story that will leave your reader satisfied yet wanting more. Did you know the opening scene of your novel can be the perfect place to set up the climax? Does your characters initial goal mirror their darkest moment? We'll make sure you understand how the best stories in the world are written so that you can create the next one!

About the Instructor: Nathan Van Coops lives in St. Petersburg, Florida on a diet comprised mainly of tacos. When not tinkering on old airplanes, he writes heroic adventure stories that explore imaginative new worlds.
