An incredible list of performers all paying their best to the great Bill Withers who performed and recorded from 1970 until 1985.. He recorded several major hits, including "Lean on Me", "Ain't No Sunshine", "Use Me", "Just the Two of Us". Holding the night down is Jill McCracken and her band. Jill is an indie soul songstress whose songs catch the ear as pop tunes, touching heavily on classic soul and Motown influences, a closer listen lets the audience know that these arent as simple as ABC, 123; theres conflict that lies just beneath the surface of the songs, as nodded to by Jills sweet and savory lyrics. This isnt a masquerade of beauty; its a celebration of Jills honest-to-goodness truth of life and love not only the beautiful, terrible, horrible parts, but especially all the in-betweens. No better a one to host this spectacular night!
