Excite your imaginations through a musical description of an orchestra by the Beatles! Learn about all the instruments of the orchestra in a brand new way. Hear solo passages play by many instruments who seldom take the melody line. (i.e. timpani and tuba!)
Then some very familiar selections from the beloved Nutcracker Ballet and also Beauty and the Beast. Sit back and let your imagination run wild as the images play in your head.
Also on the program will be a young Snohomish County Music Teachers Association competition winner - We'll post the name as soon as the winner is decided.
UPDATE!! Our SCMTA winner is Nathaniel Cutshall, a pianist and sophomore at Glacier Peak High School. He will be playing Beethoven's Third Piano Concerto in c minor, Allego con Brio.
Nathaniel has studied with Gail Tremblay from age 7. His performance will be most inviting!
Also - The EPO Spring Fling 2013 auction winner, Aaron Coe, will guest conduct the rousing "Stars & Stripes Forever". Aaron is a very accomplished trumpet player and is a senior at Kamiak High School.
A marvelous cast of musicians and the joy of symphonic music await you!
Come and explore the wonder of symphonic music in a program designed for "kids" from 3 to 103! Kids will also have an opportunity to meet the instruments up close after the performance.
