Out of the Jungle: An Indian classical and jazz concert by the Orchestra from Goodman Theatre's The Jungle Book
"Out of the Jungle" concert event featuring various musicians from the Orchestra of Goodman Theatre's The Jungle Book.
This is a very special, one night only engagement will feature two 45 minute sets of music. The first set will showcase Indian classical music, featuring Hindustani classical music from North India by Neel Murgai on sitar and Shivalik Ghoshal on tabla. The first set will also showcase Carnatic classical music from the South of India featuring Sara Ranganathan on veena, Anu Sridhar on violin and Shriram Brahmanandam on Mridangam.
The second set of music for the special concert will be a collaboration with orchestra members showcasing the traces of Indian classical music and jazz.
