Doubt
Doubt is a Pulitzer Prize winning play by John Patrick Shanley. Set in 1964 at St. Nicholas Catholic School, it tells the story of a nun and priest who find themselves at odds over the radical changes in both the church and society. The school has just accepted its first African American student, twelve year old Donald. When the principal (Sister Aloysius) suspects an improper relationship between the priest and Donald, she becomes determined to fix the problem no matter the cost. This powerful story speaks to the doubt in all of us and stands as a testament to the love and faith of the human spirit. John Patrick Stanley has given us a drama that will cause conversations on the drive home from the Theatre.
The show runs October 3-6 and 10-13.
