Christian Camarao "Appalachian Fiction" Release Show
Imagine the world is falling into a nuclear apocalypse while you're trying to give a tour of a small town in West Virignia. What do you say to both distract and alert the guests?
These are the questions composer Christian Camarao poses in his latest release, "Appalachian Fiction". Drawing from American history and mythology, Camarao paints a troubled landscape in which wendigo and the Mothman are dim shadows compared to the ever-looming threat of turbulent climates and political irreverence. Featuring a wide range of influences from Philip Glass to Phil Elverum of the Microphones, "Appalachian Fiction" serves as Camarao's latest and most ambitious addition to his ever-expanding musical canon.
Please welcome Christian Camarao to Pump House Music Works on Thursday, October 24th!
Door at 7:00pm, show at 8:00pm. $12 cover. Parking available in lot and across front lawn.
Hope to see you there!
