Jazz In The Kitchen
Sunday October 20 at 2:00pm and Monday October 21 at 7:30pm.
We're happy to announce another two sessions of great music by one of Canada's best jazz trios: Mark Eisenman (piano), Steve Wallace (bass), and Mark Micklethwaite (drums).
Mark Micklethwaite earned a Masters degree at Manhattan School of Music, and is one of the best freelance drummers in Toronto. Steve has backed up everyone, including Oscar Peterson, Oliver Jones, and Rob McConnell and the Boss Brass. Mark Eisenman is a master of the beautiful sound of the jazz piano stylings of the 50s and 60s, and he's first call for jazz artists who come to Toronto.
At these two October sessions they will be joined by a Juno-nominated jazz vocalist from Vancouver, Karin Plato. Steve Wallace and Mark Eisenman are especially delighted about reuniting with Karin; the last time they all played together was in a concert at the CBC's Glenn Gould Studio in 2004.
Here's the room: The Kitchen.
All of the Jazz In The Kitchen events sell out fast.
