Birdsong is one of the earliest natural musical inspirations and has been imitated throughout Western musical history. We will explore works throughout the canon including Vivaldi's Four Seasons, Respighi's The Birds, Mahler's Symphony No. 1, Messiaen's Oiseaux exotiques, and more.
