Craig McEvoy and Juice of the Barley - Santa Cruz
Some of you may remember Craig McEvoy, our friend from Ireland, who blessed us with his talent 19 years ago and recorded his first album in Boulder Creek. He is returning with his band Juice of the Barley for a limited time end of October. We are delighted to have them here in the states. Please join us for a very special night with an intimate setting in a beautiful Craftsman barn style studio on 61 acres in the Santa Cruz mountains outside of Santa Cruz.
Notes for the show:
Bring a flashlight and extra layer of clothing.
Bring a drink to share.

From its original line-up more than thirty years ago, Juice Of The Barley has evolved into arguably its finest and most versatile form. With an intriguing blend of traditional Irish ballads and tunes, bluegrass songs and original material, their music is both moving and uplifting. The band, comprised of first and second-generation Irish musicians, manages to capture the spontaneity and excitement of an Irish pub session and transport it to the stage. It is perhaps this easy-going appeal that has allowed them to grace the stage with a wide range of well respected musicians including Liam OMaonlaí, Shane MacGowan, Tommy McManamon, Davy Spillane, Christy Moore, Stocktons Wing, Sharon Shannon, Frankie Gavin and Michelle Lally to name but a few.
Having played throughout Europe, the United States and Australia over the years, the band returns to California this October, where lead singer Craig McEvoy recorded his first album many moons ago, in the town of Boulder Creek. Having made life-long friends in the area, the band is delighted to be able to visit once more and to perform their music in what is undoubtedly one of the most musical pockets of the world.
