Joanne Rand and Reggie Garrett
Touring nationally for 36 years playing original Psychedelic-Folk-Revival music, Joanne Rand has just released her 17th indie CD of original songs.

Rands vocal styling is all her own. ...magical and luxuriant, like the best brandy in the world." --No Depression.

Her songs, dubbed Nothing short of brilliant, by Santa Rosa Press Democrat, reflect a wide array of styles (folk, rock, jazz, Celtic, psychedelic, gospel), weaving tales of war, peace, loyalty, betrayal, hope and humor. Joanne Rand's voice raises your hair. Elegance and fierceness in the same deep breath, writes poet Gary Snyder. Rands 2015 & 2016 CDs both made the folk DJ most-played-list nationwide and are receiving worldwide airplay.  "One of the years freshest, most distinctive offerings."-Roots Music Report.

Born and bred in the Deep South, Rand has performed in Manhattan, L.A., Toronto, Atlanta, Seattle, Hawaii, Alaska & the Amazon. A North Bay readers poll once voted her Best Acoustic Band. Based in rural Northern California, with a BFA in music composition, she has performed alongside such greats as Bonnie Raitt, Micky Hart, John Hartford, John Trudell, Dougie McLean, the McGarrigle Sisters, Steve Kimock.

Reggie Garrett has been performing throughout the U.S. and Canada for many years, now. Based in Seattle, Washington he performs mostly original songs mixed with pop covers and more traditional style folk ballads. He is the purveyor of a unique urban strain of acoustic folk music incorporating a number of diverse influences, including: latin rhythms, blues, gospel, Celtic and more. The result is a musical blend that has excited and touched audiences throughout the U.S. and Canada.  The sound has strong rhythmic underpinnings, beginning with Garretts almost percussive guitar style. The guitar work spans the gamut from folk/latin/blues rhythms to even more personal styles. His singing reflects the folk/ rock/gospel traditions with which he grew up.

He has been compared to acoustic legends Richie Havens and Bill Withers by none other than the national folk publication Dirty Linen. As a songwriter Garretts specialty is creating and enhancing a mood.

As the founder of the SnakeOil Peddlers (his acoustic performing ensemble) Garrett has been performing in the acoustic medium for over ten years.  In addition to a history of fine live performances, Reggie Garrett has five CD releases to his credit. "Welcome to My World", "Time Stands Still,  Seasons and  Something New" were all recorded with his SnakeOil Peddlers ensembles. "Kates Front Porch was recorded by the Garrett & Westcott acoustic duo. All have been favorably received. "Time Stands Still" in particular made its way onto a number of AAA and other radio playlists throughout the western U.S.
