Mixed Media Tahoe or Nevada Plaque

This two part workshop will allow students to experience the beauty of creating a dirty pour(mixing more than one paint color in the same container before adding to a wood substrate) and then weeks later, add glass, beads, shells, plastic(unlimited possibilities) and coating with resin. This workshop is two parts since you have to allow the acrylic paint to thoroughly dry for almost a month before applying the additional materials and resin. The choice of using either a state of Nevada or Lake Tahoe is chosen by the student prior, and measures approximately 16 in height and 12 in width. If you a proud Nevadan or lover of Lake Tahoe, this workshop is for you! This workshop allows students the freedom to create any colors and design. The student can create beautiful one-of-a-kind art that is dimensional. Students are encouraged to bring baubles from home to enhance their art on the second workshop.
