Santa Cruz Edible Gardens Tour
NOTE: IF YOU MISS THE CUT OFF TIME TO ORDER VIA BROWN PAPER TICKETS YOU CAN STILL PURCHASE A MAP AND SCHEDULE IN PERSON DURING THE TOUR FROM 9:30-12:30 AT HOMELESS GARDEN PROJECT OR 1-5 AT THE LIVE OAK GRANGE.
Santa Cruz residents are gearing up for the second annual Santa Cruz Edible Gardens Tour, hosted by Slow Food Santa Cruz on August 24, 2013! Last year hundreds of local garden enthusiasts got a glimpse in to the edible landscapes of the Santa Cruz. This year we are proud to host more than 15 home and public vegetable gardens of all styles. From wild to elegant there will be fresh inspiration for everyone. Tour participants will find a unique experience at each residence, including kids activities, book readings, chickens advice, organic tips and plant give-aways. Our public sites explore the nourishing side of gardening, highlighting restaurants that grow food and also nonprofits using gardens for healing. This is a chance to see what your neighbors are up to and share your own garden tips.
The tour is "open studio" style and is split up into two time blocks 9:30am-12:30pm for Westside Gardens and 1-5pm for Eastside and Midtown gardens.
The week prior to the event we begin to email our garden schedule and map to ticket buyers on a daily basis. We will continue to do so until midnight of Friday.
Tickets are $10 each. When you purchase your ticket through Brown Paper Tickets, we will send you a workshop schedule and a self guided garden tour map. YOUR MAP IS YOUR TICKET!!! NO WILL CALL, NO NEED TO PICK UP TICKETS. IF YOU'RE UNABLE TO PRINT MAP VISIT ONE OF THE GARDENS LISTED ON THE SCHEDULE THAT YOU WANT TO VISIT AND WE'LL HAVE YOUR INFO ON HAND TO GET YOU A HARDCOPY.
