MBAA BLACK BROADWAY CABARET
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!
THE MBAA BLACK BROADWAY CABARET!

The Memphis Black Arts Alliance goes for the Gold yet again, with a Fantastic Show featuring Memphis Favorite African American Stars of Stage, crooning to those Broadway Tunes that we all know and love!  It did so well in the Spring, MBAA is bringing it back for the Fall and this time better than ever!  MBAA Black Broadway Cabaret is back for two performances only!!!  Saturday, October 12 & Sunday October 13 at 7pm at the beautiful Buckman Performing Arts Center, located at 60 Perkins Extended.  MBAA Black Broadway Cabaret is the creation of LarJuanette Williams, MBAAs Executive Director, who wanted to design a show featuring Memphis BEST stage performers, singing their favorite Show Tunes!  And of course, they could not stop there, having to include some of Memphis BEST Dancers, and Production Pros as well!  We work hard all year taking professional artists into underserved communities to teach children at no cost, preserving the legacy of Memphis music history, and advancing the future of African American arts, literature and culture.  So, we just wanted to let our hair down and have some fun!  We invited the City of Memphis to come out and join us, and it was a Mind-Blowing Experience!  So, Hello, we are back to do it again!

The MBAA Black Broadway Cabaret will feature Favorites such as Donald Thomas, Justin Tate, Rainey Harris, Valetta Brinson, Emellio Anderson, Bronzjuan Worthy, DeAndre Walker, Brigette Gayden, Dennis Groves, Julius Hunt, Tina Byrd, & Kari Dione, along with a host of Memphis Best Dancers!  Even LarJuanette Williams will take her administrative hat off and hit the stage, singing that favorite Broadway tune that made her stage career!  To top it all off, MBAA Black Broadway Cabaret will feature our most celebrated Stage Stars of Tomorrow, Kristian Wright, ShaKya Avant, Jenae Wiggins, Sabrina Gage and Maggie Townes!  All of this set to remarkable music, directed by Valetta Brinson, choreography by the exceptional Steven Prince Tate, creative lighting, by Cincinnatis Evan Stone, flashy scenic design by Morristowns Christopher Frith, and Amazing Costumes by the brilliant ReKeitha Morris!  MBAA spares nothing when putting on a show and the MBAA Black Broadway Cabaret is Spectacular!!!

MBAA Black Broadway Cabaret, two-shows only, Saturday October 12 & Sunday October 13, 7:00pm at the Buckman Performing Arts Center, located at 60 Perkins Extended.  Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.  For Tickets visit www.mbaafirehouse.org  or in person at the FireHouse Community Arts Center, located at 985 S. Bellevue Blvd.  For additional information call 901-948-9522.  Dont Miss It!!!
