-UNKNOWN- Written by Alexis Clements Directed by Mariah Larkin World Premiere
October 18-27, 2019 at The Crane Theater 2303 Kennedy St NE #120, Minneapolis, MN, 55413
Nobody knows Sydney Anders. So nobody paid much attention when Sydneys seven boxes arrived at the Archives. Nobody, except for Sophie and Thea. Flipping through the pages of Sydneys life in an idiosyncratic archive of lesbian lives, Sophie and Thea uncover the tragedies and celebrations of an unknown life, and along the way uncover unknown truths about each other and themselves.
Inspired by the 45 year-old Lesbian Herstory Archives in Brooklyn, NY, Unknown offers a portrait of a small community of lesbians that spans four generations, and it asks how we come to know a person as something more than the role they play in our lives or the labels society applies to them.
Featuring Gina Sauer, Marci Lucht, Lana Bean, Siddeeqah Shabazz, Ankita Ashrit, and Inez DeCoteau

-CONTROLLED BURN- Queer Performance for a World on Fire
February 13-15, 2020 at the Phoenix Theater 2605 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55408
Named for the practice of burning a prairie to promote new growth, Controlled Burn is a space for queer rage, revolution, and reclamation, aimed at regeneration. An intersectional space for queer performers, especially artists of color and with disabilities, Controlled Burn is a cabaret festival curated by four fiercely talented local artists. This special three-night event will feature a different line-up each evening.
Controlled Burn was originally created in 2016 by Patricks Cabaret, a queer-led performance art incubator founded in Minneapolis in 1986. When Patricks Cabaret completed its sunset in 2018, the organization entrusted the programs continuation to 20% Theatre Company.
-THE NAKED I: 6.0-
April 16-26, 2020 at Mixed Blood Theatre 1501 S 4th St, Minneapolis, MN 55454
Featuring a variety of performance types, The Naked I provides a platform to explore the experiences and talents of LGBTQIAP+ people, including topics such as gender identity/ies, relationships, bodies/body-image, transgender/gender non-conforming experiences, and all-around/self-defined queer-ness.
Inspired by "The Naked I: Monologues From Beyond The Binary" by Tobias K. Davis, which 20% Theatre Company produced in 2009, the company has created, and will continue to create and produce a new Naked I production every two years.
Building community both locally and nationally, this production aims to highlight the voices and experiences of trans/queer/otherwise non-cisgender and/or non-heterosexual folks. Written, performed, and directed by LGBTQIAP+ people, this is a production for us, by us, and about us.
