From Russia with Love
Kimberlee Dray has an amazing story to tell. While fighting off a debilitating illness, she has become an internet coach to thousands and a virtuoso violinist against all odds. She shares her story of the triumph of music and making music.
Her concert will pick up some of the most technically challenging masterworks written during the Soviet supremacy in Russia, and the advent of the Cold War. Big sonatas by Schnittke, Sergei Prokofiev Aaron Copland and George Gershwin.
The link? The healing power of music in a body fighting itself and in a world of viciously competing ideologies.
