Delicious Again: No Wasted Food Potluck
We will enjoy a meal prepared from left overs (ingredients that we often find left over in our fridge like rice or steamed vegies nothing spoiled!) Not a cook no problem, pay full ticket price.
A Contest: We invite you to join TCAT in the experiment of transforming left overs or edible uncommonly used foods (eg Broccoli stalks) into a delicious new dish. Bring your recipe yours or someone elses to share. The dish voted most delicious will win a gift certificate from the Coop. See rules for the contest https://www.thurstonclimateaction.org/delicious-again-potluck-contest/
Panel: What is Regenerative Agriculture?
Did you know that preventing food waste and regenerative agriculture are solutions number 3 and number 11 in Drawdown, a well researched list of hundred solutions to climate change?
Did you know that Regenerative farming is way of farming which could sequester more than 100% of the current agriculture greenhouse gas emissions and thus propel us to below a degree temperature increase? It could be a game changer in the climate fight. Come learn how it is different from industrial agriculture and what it does involve and how you can be a consumer of this kind of product.
Learn from the panel how we can transform the health of the food we produce and the planet by converting to Regenerative. RSVP so we know how many to feed. This fun evening is a Potluck fundraiser for TCAT
