PORTLAND CELTIC COMMUNITY NIGHT
Second Wednesday every month.

The goal is simple: Create a stronger, vibrant, and more unified community of Celtic musicians, dancers, and artists, and appreciators within the Portland, Oregon region. By hosting evenings that include performances by local and regional bands and artists, followed by an open traditional music and dance session, we can help foster a fun and inclusive environment where everyone can appreciate and participate in Celtic culture.

Laura Reed and Sam Vogt spent years independently collecting and adapting traditional Irish music for fiddle and guitar, so they were surprised to find each other wandering the halls of a Bluegrass festival in Bellevue, WA. They retreated to remote Bellingham to transform their mutual catalogs of jigs and reels into carefully curated performances. Reed & Vogt combine a warmth and precision in traditional melody with innovative harmonies for the modern ear, and have recently relocated to Portland, OR.
