The St. Louis County Library Foundation Presents An Evening with Grammy Award-Winning Singer-Songwriter Liz Phair Author of "Horror Stories: A Memoir"
Wednesday, October 9, 8:00 pm (Doors open at 7:00 pm) St. Louis County Library Headquarters - Main Reading Room 1640 S. Lindbergh Blvd.
INDIVIDUAL TICKET $30 (Admits ONE and includes one copy of "Horror Stories: A Memoir") OR PACKAGE TICKET $35 (Admits TWO and includes one copy of "Horror Stories: A Memoir") **The event will be an on-stage interview followed by a book-signing.
When singer-songwriter Liz Phair shook things up with her ground-breaking musical debut, "Exile in Guyville"--making her as much a cultural figure as a feminist pioneer and rock star--her raw candor, uncompromising authenticity, and deft storytelling inspired a legion of critics, songwriters, musicians, and fans alike. Now, like a Gen X Patti Smith, the two-time Grammy award-winner reflects on the path she has taken in these piercing essays that reveal the indelible memories that have stayed with her.
Tickets are general admission. Seating will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Call 314-994-3300 for more information.
Additional copies of Ms. Phair's book will be available for purchase from Left Bank Books.
The proceeds from this event will benefit the Library Foundation's literacy programs.
