Arts for Art at Weeksville
For three evenings in October, Arts for Art returns to partner with the Weeksville Heritage Center in Central Brooklyn. 2018 marked the first collaboration between the two arts and culture organizations, placing a spotlight on the African-American roots of jazz and improvised music in Crown Heights, a neighborhood key to its development. This partnership with Weeksville is part of AFAs continued effort to cater to audiences throughout NYC while highlighting the specific contributions of host neighborhoods to the city's jazz history.
