Basic Framing with Willie Evans
When: Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:30 10/10, 10/17, 10/24 and 11/7/2019
Cost: $95 class fee plus a $10 materials fee
In an 8-hour workshop held over four weeks, attendees will learn the basics of frame designing by selecting the right moulding for a subject matter.
Matting - how to choose and work with colors to enhance artwork. Mounting - how to mount various types of artwork and photos. Fitting - how to properly fit the works in the frame complete with hangers.
Attendees will also learn moulding, mat and glass cutting as well as the importance of framing.
Mr. Willie Evans has been teaching framing since 2013, but has been involved in the art and framing community since the middle 1970's. He is a self-taught freelance artist in the framing business who has attended several framing schools given by the Professional Picture Framing Association and completed Advance Framing Techniques in 1986. He has operated a couple of frame shops over the years and is presently operating a mobile framing business. Mr. Willie Evans has a flair for teaching that he brings from teaching Sunday School at his church for over 30 years.
