Transperformance XXIII: Beyond Bob
Transperformance XXIII -- Beyond Bob: Hamp's Annual End of Summer Music Festival Tuesday, August 27, 2013 4:00-9:30 PM Pines Theater, Look Park
It's time to celebrate our community and the arts with Transperformance, featuring "Beyond Bob," at THE end-of-summer bash! Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, Bobby Darin, and Roberta Flack will be just a few of the Bobs who will be covered by local musicians this summer in Northampton. It was 23 years ago that the Northampton Arts Council created the first Transperformance, Woodstock: The Performance Peace. It's a tradition that we hope will continue for many years to come. This year will be the last year with Bob Cilman at the helm. His retirement from the Arts Council begins two weeks after the show.

Sponsored by Northampton Arts Council, FACES, Gravity Switch, Florence Savings Bank, Valley Advocate, 93.9 The River, City of Northampton, Massachusetts Cultural Council Proceeds Support Arts Enrichment Programs in Northampton's Public Schools & the local Community
ABOUT: Each summer the Northampton Arts Council and the Parent Teacher Organizations of Northampton's public schools join forces in August to raise funds for arts enrichment in the schools and the ArtsEZ spring grant program. Each elementary school, J.F.K. Middle School and Northampton High School will receive funds raised from Transperformance. Your support for this event will help keep art alive in the public schools and in the community. Last year's benefit, Transperformance 22: Food Groups, provided $1,200 to each school due in part to the dollars raised by donors like you. The money goes towards great projects in our local schools. We also raised an additional $15,000 that was just recently distributed in our Spring Arts EZ round of grants to artists, schools, and small art organizations.
