The Fish Out of Water Preview Party
The team behind Fish Out of Water, the soon to be released documentary about religion and homosexuality in America, will host a Preview Party at Marys Attic in Andersonville to raise funds and awareness for their upcoming release. The evening will feature live music by Chicagos famed Miki Greenberg, cocktails and hors doeuvres, and an exclusive 20 minute Sneak Peek of the film and talk back with filmmaker Ky Dickens. The evening will finish off with a Post Party with Think Pink Radios DJ Stinky Pinky. Fish Out of Water has been in development for two years and is at a crucial point in production. The Preview Party is intended to raise funds for post-production costs so that the film can be released in 2009. From barbershops to truck stops, from the most northern corners of America to the deepest of the south, the Fish Out of Water team interviewed hundreds of Americans on one of the most crucial and timely issue of this generation. Through quirky animation and interviews with some of the countrys most influential bishops, ministers and theologians, this groundbreaking documentary gives viewers the tools to talk about an issue that is often avoided or exploited in America. The Fish out of Water Sneak Peak will give people an idea of whats to come when the full-length feature will be released in 2009, and the post-screening talk back with gives attendees an exclusive opportunity to engage in discussion with filmmaker Ky Dickens. The Fish Out of Water team selected Marys Attic to host the fundraiser, a perfect match for the colorful, engaging and unique feeling of the film. All are invited to stay for the Post Party with DJ Stinky Pinky after 9:00pm with a raffle including local prizes.
