Local Freight at the Homegrown Coffeehouse
The Homegrown Coffeehouse will open its 37th season on Saturday, October 5 with a fine bluegrass band -- Local Freight. The group features clean harmonies, strong pickin, and a solid groove. Seasoned musicians John Tibert (mandolin/vocals), Lynne Fountain (bass/vocals), Rich Piccarreto (guitar/vocals) and Keith Hillyard (banjo) bring their varied musical backgrounds together on original songs and bluegrass classics alike, crafting a fresh, original sound with solid traditional underpinnings.
Common threads entwined to bring this project together: a love for the music, chance meetings at area jams and festivals that became friendships, and musical collaboration. Now in its 5th year, the band has demonstrated its experience and versatility at shows ranging from harvest and farm days, to weddings, nightclubs, coffeehouses, and festivals. Local Freight at the Homegrown Coffeehouse, Saturday, October 5, at 8:00 P.M.
