Vi Wickam & Friends
Vi has been fiddling as long as he can remember. As a child, Vi performed with the Wickam Family band at venues around Northern Colorado, including a stint as the Blinky's Fun Club house band.
Vi left Northern Colorado in 1995 to attend the University of Evansville, playing viola in the University Orchestra. Vi also founded and organized the the Evansville String Quartet, playing classical and popular music at Weddings and dinner parties.
Vi has taught fiddle lessons since he was a high school student, and has always been inspired by seeing the success of his students.
Over the past 10 years, Vi has directed fiddle contests, including the Indiana State Picking and Fiddling Championships, and is a frequent fiddle contest judge, including the Western Open Fiddling Contest, the Indiana State Fair, and the Grand Lakes National Fiddle Contest.
