FluteFling Workshop December 2019
FluteFling monthly Saturday afternoon workshops are held in Portobello, Edinburgh and providing flute and whistle players with inspiration, ideas and support to further develop their music.
Led by traditional flute and whistle player Gordon Turnbull in a relaxed setting, come along to learn and develop traditional techniques while building up a repertoire from Scotland, Ireland and beyond.
The workshop will feature techniques for learning new tunes by ear and working with music from the repertoire archive. Some details will be emailed to participants in advance.

The workshops are suitable for adults already playing tin whistles and low whistles in D or wooden simple system (Irish) and modern classical (Boehm) flutes. Musicians returning to the instrument are most welcome.
Teaching is by ear, but sheet music and recordings will be provided. Different experience levels will be accommodated within the workshop. If in doubt, please contact Gordon.
There will be a short break for tea and coffee during the workshop, which is included in the price.
Please note that this workshop is for adults. However, those under 18 may be considered by arrangement if accompanied by an adult. Please contact Gordon if considering this.
