The Boy Ain't Right! An Evening of Comedy!
Great River Arts is proud to present The Boy Aint Right a hilarious night of comedy on Saturday, October 5 at 7:30 PM at the Great River Arts Center in historic downtown Little Falls. Back by popular demand, Jason Schommer and friends hit the stage with stand up comedy, sketch comedy and live music! One night only! Tickets are $15 and all seating is general admission. Tickets can be purchased by phone at (320) 632-0960, at the Great River Arts office during business hours, or at the door. Tickets may also be purchased online at www.greatart.org.
Jason Schommer returns to the Great River Arts stage in this wildly funny night! With unexpected twists and turns and an honest no-holds-barred delivery, Jason keeps the audience on the edge of their seat with a truly one of a kind perspective and side-splitting laughs over life. From the seemingly routine occurrences in our daily lives to once-in-a-lifetime bizarre and strange events come outrageously funny and endearingly touching moments in stories and jokes that audiences can easily relate to. Jason is shockingly honest, incredibly relatable and hilarious as he deals with the twists and turns life throws at him. Joining Jason onstage is musician Kelly Cordes.
The evening of comedy also includes a special performance The Wizard of Little OZ (a humorous sketch parody based on the classic The Wizard of OZ but with a Little Falls and Morrison County twist)! While Prudence from Bowlus and the gang are on a tour at the historic Lindbergh House, bad weather rolls in and they are hit by a tornado. When the storm breaks, Prudence finds herself in the strange and surreal world of Little OZ (inspired by Little Falls) and in deep trouble as the boyhood home of Charles A. Lindbergh has landed on the Wicked Witch of the Eastside. To return home Prudence must travel through Little OZ on a quest by the Wizard of the Spirit of St. Louis. Along the way she encounters many familiar friends and new enemies. Will Prudence get back home safely or be lost forever in the land without signs? Will the Wicked Witch of the Westside and her flying monkey stop Prudence once and for all? Cast members for The Wizard of Little OZ include Prudence from Bowlus, Robyn Gray, Gary Block, Rick Converse, Laurie Koll, Susy Prosapio, Allen Riedeman, Melissa Peterson, Kimberly Perry, and Steven Weiss!
