Cerddorion 25th Anniversary Season Membership
Since its founding in 1996, Cerddorion has been one of New York City's finest vocal ensembles. In celebration of that rich history, Cerddorion presents four varied and lovely programs in 2019-20.

Season Membership includes one ticket (general seating) to all four programs. For concerts #1 and #4, you may attend in either Brooklyn or Manhattan. For concert #3, you may attend on either date. Prime Membership includes premium seating for Concert #3, "Dido and Aeneas."

CONCERT 1. CELEBRATING OUR AUDIENCE: A CORNUCOPIA OF FAN FAVORITES
Friday, November 15 at 8 pm - St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 199 Carroll Street, Brooklyn
Sunday, November 17 at 3 pm - St. Ignatius of Antioch, W. 87th St. and West End Ave., Manhattan

We begin our year of celebration with a program of favorites from Cerddorion's entire repertoire, based on audience feedback through the years. Featured composers will include Josquin, Monteverdi, Victoria, Schütz, Byrd, Brahms, Hindemith, Poulenc, and Britten, as well as works premiered by Cerddorion from leading contemporary composers.

CONCERT 2. CELEBRATING COLLABORATION: "THE BOOK OF ROUNDS"
Sunday, March 1 at 3 pm - St. Ignatius of Antioch, W. 87th St. and West End Ave, Manhattan

We are proud that the acclaimed pop-rock band October Project has asked us to present the New York premiere of "The Book of Rounds: 21 Songs of Grace." This song cycle bridges pop, classical, and choral music with original rounds on themes of love, grace, and transcendent harmony.

CONCERT 3. CELEBRATING OUR SINGERS, PAST AND PRESENT: "DIDO AND AENEAS"
NOTE NEW DATES AND LOCATION:
Friday, March 27 at 8 pm
Saturday, March 28 at 3 pm
Good Shepherd-Faith Presbyterian Church, 152 West 66th Street, Manhattan
Prime seating is available for these performances.

The centerpiece of our 25th anniversary season will be a fully staged performance of Purcell's magnificent opera. We are thrilled to be collaborating with one of our favorite artistic partners through the years, director and choreographer Christopher Caines, in a program that will delight the eye as well as the ear. Featuring baroque orchestra, guest artist dancers, and a cast of many returning Cerddorion alumni/ae. Join us for a festive reception following our March 22 performance!

CONCERT 4. CELEBRATING OUR COMMITMENT TO NEW MUSIC
Friday, May 29 at 8 pm at St. Cecilia Church, 84 Herbert Street, Williamsburg, Brooklyn
Sunday, May 31 at 3 pm at St. Ignatius of Antioch, W. 87th St. and West End Ave, Manhattan

To mark the centennial of the 19th Amendment recognizing women's right to vote, Cerddorion performs music composed by and about women. We have commissioned prominent New York composer Sidney Boquiren to write a piece for the occasion: "Arise" sets to music the words of some of the pioneers of women's suffrage, both famous and lesser-known. The program will also feature the winners of Cerddorion's eighth annual Emerging Composers Competition.
