       TONI GREEN!

YES!!!  The Memphis Black Arts Alliance has been on a summer break with SPARK Summer Camp, auditions and workshopping area artists for upcoming plays, films and concerts, taking community leadership with the Soulsville Gateway Cleanup and much more!  However.MBAA IS BACK AND GRANDER THAN EVER!!!  Over the years, Jazz-A-F!RE has been delighted to present some of the absolute BEST artist in the Greater Memphis area and beyond and this month, September 29th beginning at 4pm, we will do what we do at the Beautiful Brinson's Restaurant, located at 341 Madison Avenue, Downtown Memphis. We will celebrate one of Memphis most captivating Living Legends, Community Leaders, and Friend to Many; The International Queen of the BLUES, MS. TONI GREEN!

Toni Green, a Memphis native, began her singing career in 1970 at the infamous Hi-Records with Imported Moods.  She recorded her first solo record Mixed Emotions in 1998 with legendary producer Willie Mitchell.  She went on to sing backup with Luther Vandross and Isaac Hayes, toured, and performed in a duo with Dennis Edwards of the Temptations.  This award winning singing sensation has toured the world, opening for such acts as Carlos Santana, Dionne Warwick and Solomon Burke. She most recently returned from living part time in Paris, France and recently released another long awaited recording with R&B Group Malted Milk, entitled Milk & Green. Since Toni has been back home, she has worked feverishly on community causes and has taken up a true desire to bring wholeness to the Greater Memphis Community.  For this reason, you will see her name on the ballot for City Council District 7 this November.

Memphis Black Arts Alliances Jazz-A-F!RE is hosted by the Gifted Cequita Monique along with the cool sounds of Prime Cut Trio, as they usher us into the land of Smooth Jazz!  Our Living Legends croon us further up the road and then we end the evening by inviting you, our audience, to join the band on stage in our BYOI (Bring Your Own Instrument) full-out jam session!  There is nothing in the city like Jazz-A-F!RE in Memphis.Anywhere!

Come Join Us Sunday, September 29, 2019 as we celebrate the Spectacular International Queen of the Blues, Toni Green at Memphis Black Arts Alliances Jazz-A-F!RE, beginning at 4pm, at Brinsons Restaurant Downtown, 341 Madison Avenue!  For Information and Tickets, call, 901-948-9522 or visit our website at www.mbaafirehouse.org.
