Join Anna, Bryan, Libby and Asha Swanberg of Bent Gate Farms and Scott Chichester of Chi's Farm, for an educational and delicious Sunday afternoon tour of their beautiful farms in the Sequim-Dungeness Valley. We'll gather at Chi's Farm at 142 Towne Road at 2:00 for the start of the tour. Participants will learn about organic vegetable production on the farm and all that it takes to get that delicious salad from his farm to your plate.
Next, we'll move to Bent Gate Farms where we will learn about the Swanberg family adventures in raising grass-fed beef, lamb, goats and pastured pork. Dinner will be served on the farm at approximately 5:00. The menu features foods from both farms including whole roasted goat, potatoes, salad, veggies, pie, and ice cream. Event is $45. Proceeds will go to support scholarships for the Clallam County 4-H Junior Livestock program to help kids get started in raising livestock of their own. More about the Junior Livestock Auction can be found here: https://purecountry4-h.com/ccjla-info/
