Southeast Ohio - Athens Brewery Tour
Join us for an excursion that takes in the exceptional artisans of alcohol in Southeast Ohio!
This tour will travel down route 33, enjoying the scenery of the Hocking Hills, while discovering two exceptional breweries Rockmill Brewery near Lancaster and Jackie O's Pub and Brewery in Athens. Noted for it's picturesque setting and Belgian style beers, you will get to experience first hand what makes Rockmill so unique and has garnered it such critical praise. At Jackie O's, one of the most respected breweries in Ohio, we'll learn about their history, brewing practices and how their recent expansion makes an already great thing even better.
At off-the-beaten-path Dancing Tree distillery, we'll meet Kelly Sauber, former head brewer of O'Hooleys and Marietta Brewing Company who has now turned his hand to artisan spirits made with local ingredients. Kelly's a mine of information about both spirits and beer.
We'll enjoy a light meal at Jackie O's brewpub and if time allows we'll also explore Athens and the Ohio University Campus.
This brewery tour is priced at $85.00. It includes tastings at 2 breweries and one distillery, a light meal, air-conditioned van transportation between all of the stops, and a guide with plenty of local beer knowledge. It lasts approximately 6.5 hours. This tour runs April-November. Please check the calendar for available dates or contact us to arrange a private tour.
