Desmond Jones is a five-piece American rock band from Grand Rapids, MI. Fresh off their Electric Forest debut and a full summer of touring they are taking their brand new album "Hello, Helou" on the road! Trifocal and Quantum Fleek will be joining them for this special Kalamazoo show!
With original music written to complement the groups sound as a whole, the music is centered on melodic guitar riffs, groovy basslines, funky drumbeats, and smooth saxophone. The group takes influence from Frank Zappa, The Grateful Dead, Phish, Miles Davis, The Band, and Led Zeppelin to name a few. Desmond Jones puts on exciting and high-energy shows with a high level of musicianship and skillful improvisation. Each show, set list, and song is different from night to night. The group has played over 600 shows and has shared the stage with bands like Papadosio, Joe Russo's Almost Dead, EOTO, Here Come the Mummies, Aqueous, Dopapod, Joe Hertler and the Rainbow Seekers, and many more.

Trifocal:
The trio fuses elements of multiple genres to create a musical experience filled with twists and turns. Throughout the many changes of feel and energy, their music maintains a sense of groove that is impossible to ignore.
Trifocal began in March 2016 with the union of co-founders Dean Lind (bass/vocals), Eric Carlstrom (guitar/vocals), and Adam Hastings (drums/vocals). Theyve been building steam in the Midwest region by spreading their music, personality, and message everywhere they go. Touring has brought them through Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and all over their home state of Michigan.
Trifocal has shared the stage with many great bands including the likes of Desmond Jones, EGi, Joe Marcinek Band, and The Werks (x2). They have also performed at many Midwest music festivals including Rockamura, Lutherfest, Hoodilidoo, and Michigan Peace Fest.
Currently, Trifocal is working on their debut album, titled Seven Seas of Sound, due to be released in Spring 2019. The release of this album will showcase their sense of funk, dynamics, and versatility.
Quantum Fleek: An experimental improvisational rock band with an ever evolving sound that morphs and seeks to explore new sonic universes. Somewhere, whatever gods of music there might be are grinning from ear to ear. Music for the people by the people.
