Modern buildings today are equipped with technology-based smart systems to deliver optimum energy performance. Coupled with on-site renewable resources and energy storage, these smart building systems enable buildings to be extremely energy efficient and to operate at or near Net Zero Energy or Net Positive levels. Understand the fundamentals behind these systems and how to apply them in your facility to track and improve building energy performance. Learn how to maximize the return on investments from these systems by using technology to enable interoperability and dynamic interaction with the modern smart grid.
BIO: Paul Wingco, CEM | MBA has over 30 years' combined experience in facility operations and energy management. His past roles include serving as Energy and Sustainability Manager, Associate Director of Energy and MEP services, and Director of Facilities Management for California State University, Long Beach. Paul has been actively involved in campus-level strategic energy planning and implementation in both the California State and the University of California University systems. Paul earned his Bachelor Degree in Construction Engineering Management from California State University, Long Beach and has a Master Degree in Business Administration from Vanguard University of Southern California. Paul is currently an instructor for the Building Operator Certification (BOC) program and a Certified Energy Manager with the Association of Energy Engineers. Paul is the Founder and Principal of Wingco Clean Energy Resource LLC, a California consulting company specializing in clean energy, sustainability, and workforce education training.
