American Traditions Picnic II
Last September, we held a memorable American Traditions Picnic at the Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center in Discovery Park with over 150 attendees. A tremendous success, we invite you to join us again for our second annual gathering.
Notable local chefs will work directly with some of our region's most conscientious food producers to create dishes indicative of the Northwest region and important to our native food heritage. We are pleased to partner again with Seattle Chefs Collaborative to celebrate our food traditions and to raise awareness about the importance of defending biodiversity in our food system.
Native foods forager, Mary Hunter will be our special guest speaker. The old time variety duet, Squirrel Butter, will liven up day with their unique musical style.
This convivial celebration will be open to Slow Food/Seattle Chefs Collaborative members and their non-member friends and family.
