Music in the Chapel: Mill City String Quartet
Whether you are a lifelong fan of classical music or a new listener, we invite you to enjoy beautiful chamber music from the Mill City String Quartet to inspire you while you admire the amazing mosaics inside the Lakewood Memorial Chapel.
Heard on Minnesota Public Radio and seen at the Baroque Room, the Schubert Club, Antonello Hall and the Minnesota State Fair, among others, Mill City String Quartet seeks to create exciting and diverse concerts for listeners both familiar and new to chamber music. In addition to their season of public concerts, they frequently work with students across Minnesota and have premiered several new or lesser-known chamber music works.
Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door. Doors open early at 2 p.m. so you can take a self-guided tour of the historic Lakewood Memorial Chapel before the show. Free tour brochures will be available.
One of our city's most beloved architectural treasures, the historic Lakewood Chapel is an intimate setting that seats about 160 people. Because of its incredible beauty and historical significance, it is a popular place for weddings, end-of-life services, music concerts and other celebrations of beauty, art and remembrance.
