Event
Food for Thought
**Ticket sales at $75 has been extended through 10/6!**
This event will be a fun night out where you will be able to sample an array of delicacies and beverages from popular local restaurants while mingling with neighbors and learning about the Civic Council's many contributions to the community. If you appreciate fine food, fine dining, and are passionate about supporting your community, this event it not to be missed! Our goals are to raise much-needed funds that will help us expand our scholarship program, as well as raise awareness of the Civic Council and encourage new and active members. Each year, the Civic Council awards three education scholarships to outstanding high school seniors graduating from each of the Secondary Schools at John Jay High School who exhibit exceptional commitment to community service. Last year, the event raised approximately $15,000, which helped expand our scholarship program, increasing each award from $1,000 to $1,500. Our goal is to establish an endowment for the scholarships from the surplus funds raised by the event in future years.
