Calgary Bach Society presents: Bach & Sons in Leipzig, London & Dresden
Join the Calgary Bach Choir for our opening concert of the 2019-2020 season, when we take a musical tour through time and place to visit J.S. Bach and his sons at the height of their musical powers. We will feature music once heard in Leipzig (Cantata 150) Dresden (Sinfonia in f) and London (Sinfonia in C), and we'll go beyond the Baroque to explore the connections that inspired the young Mozart to compose his brilliant Regina coeli in C. Calgary's own radiant soprano Jonquil Reierson Koddo joins our chorus and orchestra for this special event.
J.S. Bach: Cantata 150 J.C. Bach: Sinfonia W.F. Bach: Adagio and Fugue in D minor W.A. Mozart: Regina Coeli, KV 108 Jonquil Koddo, soprano Calgary Bach Choir and Orchestra Terry Edwards, conductor
