Renovo Chamber Series - Modern Woman
Women have been largely unnoticed in the compositional world, yet their contributions to chamber music have been and continue to be extraordinary. The Renovo Chamber Series brings to light the hidden treasures of women composers in the first of two concerts. (italic) Modern Woman (italic) captures the essence of the compositional techniques during the first part of the 20th century with works by Rebecca Clarke, Ruth Crawford Seeger, and Lili Boulanger.
