Tyler-James Kelly, Brooke Annibale, Avery Broccoli
ABOUT THE ARTISTS: "Chicken-pickin or taking a soaring lead break, its quickly apparent Tyler-James Kelly is on a wholenother level. It makes you wonder just when did he get his first real six-string? Then theres the voice. Bluesy, however you want to describe it, it just sounds like ripping a telephone book in half and feels like scratching a really good itch."
"Singer-songwriter/guitarist Brooke Annibale shines by way of her magnetic voice and expressive songwriting capabilities, with influence from her familys musical history. Originally from Pittsburgh, her familys creative roots run deepher grandfather founded a guitar shop and live sound production company, which continues to operate today. Brooke's latest full-length record, Hold to the Light, continues to push sonic boundaries by offering a fusion of textured electronic and traditional (guitar, strings, keys) instrumentation while remaining true to her acoustic beginnings. Produced by Sam Kassirer (Josh Ritter, Lake Street Dive) and featuring guest musicians Josh Kaufman (The National), Matt Douglas (Sylvan Esso) and Zach Hickman (Ray Lamontagne, Josh Ritter), Hold to The Light marks several major departures for Brooke in terms of both songwriting and production. Brookes thoughtful, layered songwriting anchors the production to explore a range of narratives working through themes of seeking truths, letting go, and reconciling the past with the present."
"Combining a wide variety of influences ranging from early blues tones to the melodies of classic rock and the punch of alternative and grunge, Avery Broccoli produces a tone and a vibe that delivers a century of music in a matter of minutes. A self-taught guitarist and musician from Rhode Island, his original music breathes a classic unrefined improvisation and tone. Treating his instruments as opponents, his performance is a struggle between himself and the sound. His voice begins at the deep idle of a Big-Block Chevy, and he can open up the throttle like one too. His chord progressions are accented with deep bass as he punches the guitar and forces a tempo out of it. The result is an intense discourse of voice, guitar, and percussion; all stripped down to the heart and regurgitated as raw expression."
