Uptown Fridays: No Filter (Hosted by AFROPUNK)
The Studio Museum in Harlem's Uptown Fridays party series places attendees in direct dialogue with current exhibitions. This installment is hosted by AFROPUNK and is centered around the exhibition No Filter: Expanding the Walls 2013. This event will feature a screening in the theatre of the short film The Triptych (dir. Terence Nance, 2012), which highlights the work of artists Sanford Biggers, Wangechi Mutu and Barron Claiborne. In the courtyard, DJ Designer Imposter will be playing a unique set responding to the exhibition.
There will be a pop-up café and cash bar. Attendees must be 21+ (with ID) to drink.
