Live at Studio5: JEREMY KAHN QUARTET
Jeremy Kahn, piano Jim Gailloreto, saxophone Larry Kohut, bass Eric Montzka, drums
Get this one: In 2004, Jeremy Kahn recorded a CD that was a rethinking of Kurt Weills songs from The Threepenny Opera (including Mack The Knife). Jeremy was pleased with the results, but somehow, amazingly, the quartet NEVER ended up with a live performance of it. So here we are in 2019. Jeremy has assembled the original lineup from the record (what a killer group!), and Studio5 is honored to present, as Jeremy calls it, the Delayed 15th Anniversary World Premiere of Most of a Nickel. Dont miss it! I hear the next gig is scheduled for 2034.
