A Banana? At This Time of Night?
A Banana? At This Time of Night? 2018 | 120 min | with English Subtitles | Directed by Tetsu Maeda
Based on a non-fiction masterpiece written by author Watanabe Kazufumi. Thirty-four-year-old Shikano Yasuaki can only move his neck and hands because of muscular dystrophy. He uses a wheelchair to get around. But he ditches the hospital in search of freedom and mobilizes volunteers so he can live exactly as he pleases. One day, a new volunteer named Misaki flips out at the self-indulgent Shikano and Shikano's response is to fall head-over-heels in love with her, despite the fact that her boyfriend is one of his medical student volunteers.
