Directed by the up-and-coming Miyake Sho, this film is an adaptation of the solitary author Sato Yasushi's coming-of-age novel with the setting moved from Tokyo to Hakodate. Young talented actors including Emoto Tasuku, Ishibashi Shizuka and Sometani Shota deliver vivid performances. The first-person protagonist is a guy working at a bookstore in the Hakodate suburbs, and he enjoys nightly drinking escapades with his housemate Shizuo (Sometani), and his co-worker Sachiko (Ishibashi)who he is sleeping with. One day, the protagonist finds out that Shizuo is interested in Sachiko and suggests that the two of them go camping together.
